The CR News Reports© is a copyright publication of Channeled Readings®These predictions were channeled from our "Higher Intelligence Source " on  October 15, 2009.  The topic is the COMMODITIES and CURRENCIES.  Go ahead with your predictions and commentary .   We have said in our last report that the dollar will continue to be soft into 2010.  Also, gold and silver will continue to be strong in this same time period.  Watch to enter any gold and silver position on a pull back.  Oil as a commodity is just about where it was a year ago, but looks like it will move steadily higher.  We have predicted an oil price of $85 to $86 a barrel a few months ago and stick with our prediction.  If commodity prices like oil and transportation costs and energy costs are going up, how can other commodities like food prices be going down?  Even with food prices declining and sales happening in the grocery stores, food companies are showing significant profits.  How can that be as prices are falling?  If you look closely you will see a form of hidden inflation.  Look at your favorite food items like ice cream.  Manufacturers of ice cream and many other food commodities are making increased profits by making the package smaller.  The smaller packages look identical to the old package so you may not notice.  All you see is that what used to cost $6.99 now costs $4.99 and even less when on sale. This smaller packaging has already happened to as many as 30 -35% of all your favorite food items and more are following this trend.  It's hard to look at a package that seems to be the same, but has 30 less potato chips in it, and see a difference.  In fact, the weight seems to be almost the same.  The manufacturer can make many more packages saving 30 chips a bag.  The package you think is on sale is not on sale.  It's smaller.  However, you buy it anyway because it's your favorite name brand.  This tactic is putting pressure on generic items and when they do go on sale they are often less money than generics.  This repackaging may work for the short term until everyone catches on.  It's all marketing when it comes to commodity packaging.  What will, however keep up the demand for all types of commodities, is growth of the population and the increasing wealth of other nations, especially China and Asian countries.  There are over 3 billion people in Asia who want the things Americans have and still desire.  Whether these commodities are clothes, cars, appliances or anything else that is or has been popular in America, Asians want it.  Therefore, prices of all commodities will hold pretty stable and go up gradually over time.  The problem is compounded by the fact that production is not going up as fast as consumption.  As consumption of all commodities goes up and increases around the world, there will be a resurgence of consumption-driven employment.  You may even see farmers again increasing in number rather than decreasing.  People will move to farming states for jobs.

Explain the overall essence of your message today?   When people think of commodities they think of investment commodities like oil and gold, but if you look around everything is a commodity.  Some are not the kind you invest in, but are generally priceless.  A good example would be kindness.

 

Why do people need to know this information right now?  People have been caught up for a long time in the trap of having more and making more than the next guy.  Having more never allows you to be free and how much money can you make before you're happy?  People are going to learn what the meaning of valuable commodities are once the ones based in greed are in short supply or are gone completely.

 

When will that start to show up?   People look at 2012 as the end of the world as we know it.  However, it is really a decision point for humanity.  Continue the ways of the past and sink further, or take responsibility for yourself, your life and your happiness - another scarce commodity.

 

When will the hidden food inflation be exposed?   People already notice it in something you hold in your hand like a hamburger.  You can tell it's smaller just by holding it.  When food items are packaged in a bag, can or jar it is difficult to tell because a can or jar appears to be the same size because it's lined up with other items from the same manufacturer that has also been reduced in size.  In addition, it it hard to pick up, say a bag of chips and tell it's an ounce or two lighter.  Even if people catch on to what's happening they may still justify it by saying things like; it's okay, I didn't need to eat that many in the first place and they will still purchase their favorite name brand commodity.

 

How will this affect generic brands?   Generic brands have always provided more product for less money at the same or even sometimes, better quality.  Putting downward pressure on generic commodities will only force them to have sales that cut into their margins, or force them to repackage also.    

 

As commodity prices go up will the lifestyle of farmers go up?   It may become chic be a farmer.  Anyone can tell you that, if a commodity is in short supply, whether it's gold or grains, people will be forced to pay more to get it.  When prices are forced up through demand it makes the jobs that produce those commodities look good and pay well.  We have a commodity-driven world and when all else means nothing, commodities still are necessary for  survival.  

 

How does an individual apply this information to their life at this time?   Consume with discretion.  Don't over consume as this is what ruined the economy over the last 20 years.  The watch words moving forward will be, "don't over-consume, don't over-pollute and control your greed.

 

How long will it take people to become conscious of this concept?   It will be a gradual change.  However, the good news is that the beginning of this new consciousness is almost here.  It will be a gradual process.  Just as over consumption was a gradual process.  Your children will be the first generation to realize this and their children will even understand it better.
