Go ahead with your comments . How do you make decisions? Do you make them from a position of higher intelligence and intuition, or not? You can make decisions with your heart or with your head. Most decisions are made with the head. The brain acts like the CPU in a computer. Information is fed in from many sources, and the brain makes a decision. However, it is influenced by many outside forces. Not only do personal feelings, past history, and personal biases enter in to decision making, but a lot of outside forces do also. When you try to make a decision, the first thing that enters into the process is your established feeling about the situation. What has happened before when you made a similar decision? Also, your ego gets in the way. Everybody wants to make a good decision, but if you are attached to a happy or good outcome, then this is called wishful thinking and not part of good decision making. Also, your peers have a lot of influence into the decision making process. Many people are swayed by what their friends think, or what they will think in the future if a certain decision is made, like when you have to make a decision about something important like health. If there is much time, then doctors often make logical decisions after a diagnosis. However, if there is not a lot of time, then they are more likely to make a gut feel decision. This gut feel decision is probably the right one and should have been the original decision. The more time you have to implement the decision or to see the result of your decision, then the more likely you engage in a logical process. A lot of people can't make decisions, and just go with the herd. This inability to make a decision is deep seated in their inability to trust themselves. When you make a decision with your heart instead of your head, you eliminate the logical thinking process. The best decisions are made intuitively from the heart. The heart is the receptor of intuition while the brain is the receptor to feelings and outside influences. The best decisions are made from love, caring, and compassion, and are made instantaneously by the heart. Learning to trust yourself more, to make decisions from your heart, is a huge step on the path of higher intelligence. If you allow yourself to make all decisions with your head, then you will miss out on the most important decisions of your life.

How do you develop the habit of making decisions with the heart rather than the head? You should try making little decisions that come to you as hunches. These hunches will teach you to trust in your gut feel or intuition. Then, when you have to make a bigger decision, you will be less likely to doubt yourself.
When people say to their friends, "what do you think?" what does this do to the decision making process? By asking someone else what they think, you are compounding the difficulty of the decision making process, by adding to the mix all of the biases of the other person, and all of their past decision making mistakes.
Processing information through the brain as well as using your intuition is necessary. How do they work together in order to make the best decisions? Both the heart and the brain can make a good or bad decision. You can go with your gut feel and still be wrong. You can go with your logical decision and be right. If you make a good decision with your heart, the next time the same type of decision needs to be made your brain will remember and make it for you.
If you make a bad decision, how does this process work? If you make a bad decision with your heart, it doesn't matter. You will be reminded the next time by your brain. The major difference in the decision making process between the heart and the brain is that the heart removes the logical thinking process and makes decisions in an instant.
