Everyone likes to have smart friends. You enjoy hanging out with them because you always seem to learn something of value from them. One friend may be very knowledgeable about investments, another about health issues, and still another may share excellent advice about relationships. They all seem to be experts in their niche and give advice freely. Your goal in associating with these people is to become more like them and less like you.

Hanging Out With Smart People – Free Advice From Your Really Smart Friends

Everybody has some really smart friends that are available to them at all times. These friends are your own personal Guides and they have been with you for many lifetimes. Some people call them their guardian angels, their advisors, or just their higher self. They are not hung up on names. They know you better than anyone else and do not judge you for what you have or have not done in this lifetime. These friends provide higher intelligence and intuition – two things that help steer you along on your path. Not that you always listen.

Hanging Out With Smart People – Sometimes Free Will Gets In The Way

When a ship misses a port, seldom is it the fault of the port. A captain starts out with a map and a plan to follow to reach his destination. But along the way this “experienced” captain decides he knows better and chooses to change course. He ends up running into a sandbar and grounding the ship. While wading to shore, he decides not to second guess himself the next time and stick to the plan. This is like your Guides telling you what should be done. They do this directly or through your intuition but they can’t make you do it or do it for you. Your ego thinks it knows better, wants to feel important and be recognized, and to be in control. So, you ignore the advice and have a less-than-stellar outcome. You run aground on the sandbars of Life.

Hanging Out With Smart People – Controlling Free Will

Free will is power. But with power comes responsibility. It is your responsibility to direct your free will with proper intention. In other words, despite the best advice, you choose what to think or not to think, which direction to go, or to benefit or not benefit yourself and others with your actions. You are the captain of your ship and the only one responsible for arriving safely at the destination port. If you arrive safely, it’s because you willed it. If you fail, it’s also because you willed it. Free will…it’s free but brings with it the power and ability to do the greatest good or the most heinous evil. Your Guides are always willing to give you the best advice; to guide you on your path to make sure you arrive at your destination safely. Change And Failing To Face Imperfections

When people obsess over the things in their lives it’s many times a symptom of failing to accept the imperfections. Here’s a short list of some of the things people obsess over: relationships, money, love, family, career, the meaning of life, their purpose in life, the government, taxes, politics, religion, social inequities, and environmental change. By obsessing about things they don’t fully understand, people develop a sense of helplessness about their life.

Change By Focusing On What You’ve Learned

Why do you even want things to change? Are you bored with your life or content with it? Have you had it easy for most of your life or learned some hard lessons? What have you learned from a life of ease or one of struggle? Do you feel unfulfilled or that something is missing from your life? Do you somehow feel that you don’t have to consider the consequences of what you’ve done or are you aware that everything you do, even the smallest thing, affects others? Change And Higher Intelligence

Henry David Thoreau said, “Things do not change; we change.” If this is true, then obsessing about things is a waste of your life. Higher Intelligence would tell you that this is true. No matter how much things change, you are still the same person spiritually. You may adapt to, or resist things changing, but you are the same spiritual being on a journey. Your intuition acts like your inner GPS suggesting which way to turn; which path to follow at just the right time, but you may not listen. Leaving it up to the Universe to do all the work for you is a cop-out and a failure to accept responsibility for your life. No universe, god, or guru is going to save you. It’s like the person who says that if they ever get a terminal disease, they’ll just “end it.” Then they do get that disease and the “bargaining” starts. They realize for the first time in their life that they don’t want it to end. They want to start living.

People Are Taking Action And Cashing Out

People are taking action by cashing out of their stock accounts, bailing out of currencies, and circling the wagons. And they are doing it faster than ever before. Plagued by years of declining assets, many are also walking away from their real estate and debt obligations. What they have left they are conserving… leaving some money in the bank and safety deposit boxes, their retirement accounts, insurance policies and in other places that are based on promises and trust. Trust that they are taking good care of it and promises that it will be there when you need it. It is the massive changes that are taking place, even though they are not being reported on the mainstream news, that are making people take action. These changes have been predicted and documented in the CR News Reports© over the last few years. But now, these changes are making themselves known in other ways. Many people say it’s just a “gut feeling” motivating them, but we know it’s their intuition sending them advanced warnings. Whether people are consciously making these changes or not, they know something just doesn’t “feel” right and they don’t want to be caught totally unprepared. 

 People Are Taking Action By Questioning The Systems

People started taking action by questioning the systems they were invested in every time they paid a mortgage payment, a credit card bill, an insurance payment, a tax or medical bill, or any other “system” they used to feel good about paying into because it supported their lifestyle and their stuff. Many are now asking themselves, “Why should I continue to support these systems when corporations, banks, governments, politicians and their lobbyists, Wall Street and others all get bailed out with taxpayer money and have programs and laws passed only to favor them?” For many people, just making ends meet is more than they can do with what they make. The “systems” have taken away everything they had built up. The equity in their real estate, their investments, their retirement accounts, their possessions, their savings and more. As an increasing number of people start to question the systems, will they decide to stop funding them? And, are we at that tipping point?

 People Are Taking Action By Getting Prepared

People are taking action and getting prepared because their intuition is telling them that something is very wrong and that it’s time to get prepared for what could be? They are getting prepared for something they have no experience at or have ever seen before. Kids look at it as an adventure; adults are torn between the world they have always known and this new unknown one. Seniors, living longer lives, are mostly scared that they’ll run out of money before they run out of time. Any way that you look at it, people agree that it’s good to get prepared while you still have some time. There are many however, that are still not prepared. If they are not prepared, then what exactly do they think will happen when the systems collapse? Who will be there to take care of them?

People Are Taking Action To Redefine Their Lives

If man is on the verge of a consciousness shift, then how will societies take action to redefine their lives? When the old systems break down, will man’s ties to them be so strong that he strives to rebuild them again and repeat his mistakes? Or, will Higher Intelligence guide man to a higher standard? What’s coming has been called the Shift, the Awakening, the Quickening, the Collapse, the Ascension, the Enlightenment, the End of the World as we know it, and many other things. What they all imply is that a redefinition of life on this planet is coming.

Communication With Your Guides Requires The Proper Tools

Anybody who works remotely knows that effective communication requires the proper tools. You no longer have to rely on your pager to go off and then go search out a pay phone to call home or the office. Now, everybody seems to have a portable computer, a tablet, a cell phone or a smartphone with Bluetooth connectivity so you’re always connected to your “source” anywhere you go. As you, our Higher Intelligence Source knows, we use a talking board to communicate with you. We didn’t choose this – you did when you first contacted me, Linda, 22 years ago through my dream teacher. It was in that first contact that you asked me to create a talking board that would not cause fear and caution like a Ouija board. You told me that you needed a way to reach humanity and on a higher level. You said that you needed this new talking board to be a teaching tool for others to use to contact their own guides. You insisted on providing proper Instructions to help people understand how to use it correctly. You also said you would contact me in my dreams to co-create this talking board now trademarked as Ask The Universal Channel®. Well, it’s been 22 years now and together we have accomplished a lot.

Communication With Your Guides Requires The Proper Skills

The proper tools are useless unless you realize effective communication with your guides requires the proper skills. Once Ask The Universal Channel® was designed and manufactured; we developed our skills in using it to contact you for all our channeled readings. Based on the principles of dowsing, it took a certain amount of time and practice to get the “feel” of the communication coming through. Just as it would take you some time to figure out how a new smartphone worked. Once mastered, we built a strong connection with you from our years of doing thousands of channeled readings both for clients and in channeling the “News Before It Happens” for our CR News Reports© project – all done exclusively with Ask The Universal Channel® talking board. 

Communication With Your Guides Requires The Right People

The best tools and skills mean nothing once you realize that effective communication with your guides requires the right people. First, you found me and then guided me to the right people to help me build the Channeled Readings.com project and web site. It took awhile to built the project, while the team came together. Between the time you first contacted me in 1989 and when Ray came along in 2004, you continued to guide and teach me through communicating with me on this talking board and through my dreams where I learned everything I needed to know to build this project. Since Ray came along, the business and web site has taken off. Not only is Ray the best channeling partner I have ever had, he is also the best business partner and husband that I have ever had.

For many years I didn’t know where this communication with you was taking me. I knew the project had a life of its own and its timing was not up to me. This helped me to remove all the mind chatter about devising a specific business plan with traditional performance goals. I just kept my day job while I developed, practiced and taught what this communication tool was all about and how to use it correctly. Long before the Ouija board existed, the talking board device was an ancient divining tool commonly used by everyone to seek answers and advice. People just needed to get reacquainted with its original intent.   

So, you might say that we have resurrected the talking board. We drug it out of the closet, rebuilt it, and from you we learned how to use it correctly. Doing so allowed us to open a new communication channel with you and bring your timely predictions and wisdom to the world.

Spiritual GPS

Like the GPS in your car, what if it was your spiritual GPS  - you could rely on to guide you along your spiritual journey? Every level of life form has a spiritual destination. Even the chicken that crossed the road to get to the “other side” was on a journey. Could crossing the road to get to that other side be a metaphor for our crossing from a materialistic world to our spiritual destination? And what guided that chicken to cross the road in the first place? Weren’t there many obstacles to prevent him from crossing over?

Your Spiritual GPS Provides Mid-Course Corrections

On the way to your destination, you get off-course just like sailboats that need mid-course corrections. Prior to technology taking over, great sailors didn’t just navigate by their gut instincts, they used the stars to keep them on course. They relied on the universe to put them back on track. Their connection to the universe is what got them to their destination safely.

Your Spiritual GPS Has A Pre-Programmed Destination

When you entered into this life, your spiritual GPS came with a pre-programmed destination whether you knew it or not. It was the expected culmination point of your journey – your unique path – that was intended to bring you to the highest level of spiritual evolution in this life. Whether you arrived at the destination or missed it, it was not the fault of the destination.

Your Spiritual GPS Is Always Working

Whether you listen or not, your spiritual GPS is always working and is always telling you which way to go. Turn left, turn right, or go this way to avoid trouble and more. The obstacles you encounter on your journey are there for a reason, but the direction you get to engage them is always pure and unfiltered by bias or ego. Sometimes just listening and getting out of your own way is the most challenging thing on your spiritual journey.

What They Really Want And Who They Really Are

People rarely listen to what they really want or pay attention to who they are. They are too distracted by the way they think things should “be” or look. People even say, “Things should be different,” or they think they need to look successful or possess certain physical attributes. They want a relationship of unconditional love but are a judgmental and criticizing person. They rationalize their behavior and justify who they are by saying they have “high standards” or are “spiritually evolved” and therefore remain alone and suffer through life.

HINT: It’s The Little Things That Bug You

Thomas Merton said, “The more you try to avoid suffering, the more you suffer because smaller and more insignificant things begin to torture you in proportion to your fear of being hurt.” Nobody wants to feel hurt either physically or emotionally, but you wouldn’t know it by their actions. It’s this fear of being hurt that makes you believe you have to control everything around you that happens in your life before you can be happy.

Your Old Clothes Still Don’t Fit

People keep their old clothes hanging in their closet for years hoping that someday they’ll fit again. They tell themselves they’ll go on a diet, lose weight and be able to fit into them again. What are they really looking for? Do they really want to wear those old, dated clothes again? Or, do they want to feel again how they felt when they did fit into those clothes years ago? Even if you do manage to squeeze into them after all the torturous dieting, you look in the mirror and realize they really don’t look that good any more. Something’s different. You’d be better off severing your emotional attachment to them, go out and buy some new clothes that make you look and feel good. Give the old clothes away now and get rid of the old emotional energy attached to them.

Allowing The Small Things To Torture You

Allowing the little things to torture you forces you further and further into an emotional box that’s hard to escape the older you get. Your beliefs become so limiting that you shut off the possibility of allowing someone else to open you up to new experiences. Instead, you look at every little thing others do as irritating you. Eventually you have such a long list of irritations and things you don’t want in your life that you can’t remember what it is that you want.  And the suffering continues.

This applies to every aspect of their life…their relationships, their finances, their businesses, their investments, the work they do, and more. Will their job be safe or should they change jobs or go to work for themselves in many cases? How long should they hang onto their declining assets…their real estate, their retirement accounts, the equities or funds they invested in? News like Standard and Poor’s downgrade of the U.S.’s ability to pay down or control its debt came as a shock to many. After two years of predicting the downgrade of the dollar, the decline in most things considered to be “assets” or “investments” and the government debt bubble in our CR News Reports©, people are starting to think, “Maybe what’s happening in Europe could happen here!” Consumption and wealth, the two things that defined American culture are not the standards anymore. Stress has forced people to see things for what they really are and reinvent themselves. Intuition tells baby boomers to protect whatever they have left in any way they can. Intuition tells 20- and 30- somethings not to do the things baby boomers did that will stress them out like credit, buying real estate, working at something they don’t believe in or for a boss they don’t like. Renting, remaining mobile, and not being tied down with debt opens their options in a “new normal” economy. More 50 and 60 year-olds, wishing they had made better decisions, will now follow the lead of the younger generation. That means getting by with less, and working because you love your work and not working to consume or pay your bills. Some of our Members and clients have already made these changes. They are happier and less stressed because of it. They realized that holding onto the past as they did and hoping that “normal” would come back someday was no longer an option. As the mediums who bring through this “information from those on the other side” we have also listened and made changes to our lives. Four or five years ago, recommendations from Higher Intelligence sounded extreme. The only thing we have regrets about is that we didn’t act sooner. People are wondering what the breakdown of a worldwide system would look like? It is difficult for man to know when to act as they seem to hang onto the past longer than they should. Please explain what we should do differently.
