Weather and Earth Changes – Man Needs To Change

People are quick to blame weather disasters on something like being the consequence of man-made CO2 emissions. After all, there’s a big hole in the atmosphere that our car exhaust and greenhouse gases caused and that’s letting more heat in. Kind of like the opposite of leaving a window open to the outside when you are heating the house. When an unseasonal weather occurrence does happen, you many times hear about some other weather event somewhere else on the same report. Since they are being reported together, you assume they must be related and possibly caused by the same thing. See, man’s abuse of the environment caused this hurricane over here and these floods  over there. If we could only get man to change, then we wouldn’t have these disasters and the devastation they bring. Or, would we?

Weather and Earth Changes – Weather Isn’t Getting Weirder, People Are

One of the things that gets the biggest coverage when a disaster hits is that people just weren’t prepared for it. Why not? People interviewed in the aftermath seem surprised that they live on the coast where hurricanes have hit before and were caught off-guard. Or, they built their home at the foot of a dormant volcano and seem surprised when their living room filled up with lava one day. They don’t make the connection that their home was destroyed by an earthquake because it was built on a fault line. Who’s fault was that?

Weather and Earth Changes – Poor Planning

The world seems so convinced that global warming is the climate boogeyman coming to get them that they don’t plan for anything but. A freak winter storm hits and people die because the city didn’t have the equipment to combat it. One country’s infrastructure is programmed to handle these situations and this preparation keeps the casualties low. Another country hit by the same type of disaster, suffers greatly when they don’t have the equipment, medicines, and personnel to handle the same situation. Some countries governments even block emergency aid workers from coming in and delivering needed assistance, multiplying the deaths. Same weather, poor planning, different outcome.

Are we too quick to lay blame on one thing as the cause for climate change? Can we go out and spend billions of dollars to fight a “War On Global Warming” only to find out it’s going to happen no matter what we do? Would we be better off not to spend money trying to control the weather and spend the money on making sure we have the resources necessary to deal with the effects of weather when it happens?

Earth Changes – The End Of The World

The date is 11/12/11 and we’re still here. The end of the world didn’t come nor did the skies rain fire yesterday, when it was 11/11/11, as many had predicted and a few people had even thought it would be fun to watch. Ironically, many couples around the world planned their weddings for 11/11/11. They certainly wouldn’t have planned their big day to be the same day the world was going to end, would they? Now, I guess we’ll just have to wait for December 21, 2012 to roll around or for November 11, 3011 – our next 11/11/11 – to get our shot at planet extinction?

Earth Changes – Weather Prophecies

For centuries, prophets, soothsayers, doomsayers, and the occasional radio or TV evangelist charlatan have predicted the end of the world. Yes, there’s been plenty of “signs in the sun, moon and stars and upon the earth,” as the Bible says. And, much “distress of nations,” and the “roaring and tossing of the sea and waves,” but hasn’t that been going on forever? Nations and the oceans do that as part of their daily routines.

Earth Changes – More Than Weather

What if all these global weather and earth changes are symbolic of something else and not to be taken at face value? Sure, they are destructive, violent, and strike without regard for life, but don’t people and nations act the same way? Maybe the extreme global weather is occurring at a time when man needs to take a look at it and see his own reflection?

So since the earth hasn’t flipped upside down, started spinning the opposite way, been destroyed by comets, asteroids or humanoids yet, how is man to interpret what’s is going on in the world and how is it tied to weather? The Earth’s Wakeup Call – It’s Your Gift Not Your Possession

For too many years we have treated the earth as a possession. And we have not been very kind to this possession, nor treated it like something we cherished and wanted to last. We viewed it as a possession to be exploited for profit and greed. By doing this, we have destroyed or compromised the air, water supply, food supplies, and lives of entire civilizations of people who depended on their ecosystem for survival. Fear of scarcity and national boundaries have caused countries to fight over possession of the earth’s riches and resources. Many lives have been lost in the greedy quest for control of something we were given for free as a gift. 

The Earth’s Wakeup Call – It Will Feel Like A Dichotomy  

The earth is a dichotomy. It is serene, quiet, peaceful, beautiful, generous and giving; but it can also tremble, shake, cry, flood, blow violently, burn up, dry out, and explode – selfishly taking things away from people without warning. We praise nature when it presents us with its gifts, and curse nature when it destroys our homes, livelihoods, and lives. Like a person pushed to their limits, the earth responds with an equal and opposite reaction to what it experiences as part of the universal energy field we all live in. Like every living thing, it feels and responds. 

The Earth’s Wakeup Call - Seeking Balance and Harmony

Unlike most people, the earth is always seeking balance and harmony. It was created in perfect balance and desires to return to that state. In places, it has been ruined, demolished, and damaged to a point where it will take generations to bring it back, if ever. Sometimes the accumulation of damage and stress put on it makes the earth react suddenly and violently. People create imbalance and disharmony in their lives in order to gain something. But there is no gain…only more imbalance…leading to more want….leading to more feelings of “living without” and “not enough.” 

When will man realize that we were given our planet as a gift? A gift to be treasured, shared, and preserved. When will man stop abusing and damaging this gift and its surrounding environment in pursuit of greed and profit? What will it take to put man and the earth back in harmonious balance?

Weather Disasters Equal Revolution

In addition to financial policies, weather disasters, and cyclical climate changes that equals revolution in many countries. Whether it’s hot and dry conditions, flooding, or freezing, crops are destroyed and food production suffers. Much of the civil unrest in countries that governments like to say is over democracy issues really started as food riots. When you add failed fiscal policies of nations due to debt-based consumption and greed to increasing food prices, you have the equation for protests, riots, and civil unrest. Oh, and don’t forget that these hungry people are also unemployed.

Weather Disasters Equal Economic Collapse

There have already been 10 major disasters in the United States this year that caused over $1 billion worth of damage each. Normally, the US has only 3 per year. We are seeing a stream of them…one after another. In 2010, FEMA declared an all-time record of 81 disasters and we are on pace for over 100 this year. Too much water in some areas like the East Coast – and not enough in others, leading to record wildfires like in Texas – has led to much crop destruction. Flooding causes the destruction of crops, homes, buildings, roads and bridges, electric and communication systems, and the disruption of business as usual. Volcanic activity produces ash which ruins existing crops and water systems, and gasses that harm animals and plants. Earthquakes cause hundreds of millions or billions of dollars in damage and the bill has to be paid by the government, hurting the economy even more.

In April alone, there were about 600 tornadoes in the US. Normally, there are only about 1,200 per year. One massive tornado was a mile wide and had 260 mph winds and flattened Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Tornadoes also damage homes and businesses, flip vehicles, and rip down infrastructure. All weather disasters kill people or destroy their businesses or livelihood. Plus, we are only part way into hurricane season.

Weather Disasters Equal Change

Weather disasters always equal change. We have covered in previous CR News Reports© the symbolism of weather disasters signifying cleansing and rebirth. Most people are so stubbornly invested in the systems of the past that used to work for them, it takes something like a weather disaster or a total collapse of the world’s financial system to show them they were on a self-destructive life path. Although most people, if you ask them, would want things to go back to “normal” it’s not going to happen in their lifetimes and they need to accept it and prepare and adapt for change.

So, are we in for a continuation of increasing weather disasters? Is the destruction caused by weather a reflection of the increasing destruction of other things in the world? Are they even related? Are we being paranoid or should we just not worry about it and think it won’t happen to us?

Weather Warnings Bring Change To Your Life

We all know that weather can change our lives. Bad weather can make you miss your plane. Missing your plane can then trigger a series of other events that alters your life short-term. On a larger scope, weather can affect an entire country and alter people’s lives and the economy of that region. A drought or even too much rain can wipe out an agricultural economy. Recent earth change events like earthquakes have triggered tsunamis and flooding that killed many people and left thousands homeless and at grave health risks from a resulting nuclear disaster. Weather disasters also bring the onslaught of diseases that have far-reaching effects beyond the initial weather occurrence. Yes, peoples’ lives are changed forever by weather and earth changes.

Whether you believe it or not, weather can change your mood. It’s harder to be depressed on a bright, sunny Spring day. It’s easier to be depressed during an extended, rainy, gloomy period. Just look at how cold weather and snow affects your mood if you planned on going to an outdoor sporting event that day. Wouldn’t you feel better sitting in the stands with the warm sun on your face rather than bundled up, peeking out from your parka between the snowflakes? Global Earth Change End Game 2012

If you kept up with the weather and earth change headlines, you’d think we were entering a global earth change end game that has its culmination in 2012. Massive dust storms, increasing solar storm activity, meteor shower season starting, increasing and repeated volcanic activity halting air travel, and the possible implications of Comet Elenin affecting the earth’s gravitational pull. Is it the end of the world? There’s enough speculation and conjecture out there to keep you scared. 

Destructive Or Beneficial Earth Change?

We tend to look at violent weather and earth changes as negative occurrences. Yes, they do cause destruction, devastation, and death. Wars also cause the same things but we start them and continue them for their “positive” outcomes…the elimination of tyrants, new freedoms for the remaining people who didn’t get killed, and the imposition of democracy and free elections. So, could it be that these destructive earth changes have a positive outcome in some mysterious way?

The Southwest is experiencing terrible wildfires that are spreading with the increasing winds. Massive tornadoes have recently ripped through the Midwest and parts of the Southeast leaving unimaginable destruction in their paths. This last week saw scorching heat records being set in the East. Also, two Saturdays ago, six inches of snow fell in Hawaii. How can this all be happening at once?

While some areas experience droughts, others areas have homes under water to their roofs. It’s easy to take the easy explanation and say it must be global warming. But that’s always the easy answer and seems to be the one most people accept without thinking about it. Scientists are also blaming “natural atmospheric variability” which is like saying, “sometimes, it just acts that way.” Then, there’s the old standby culprit – La Nina – which is a situation where the temperature of the eastern central Pacific Ocean’s surface water is lower. A result of La Nina was one of Australia’s worst natural disasters, with floods of unusual proportions in Queensland and the coast being battered by cyclones. La Nina is also being cited as being responsible for the above-average tornadoes that ripped through the US over the past few weeks.

These excessive weather patterns are surprising people around the world with their strength and their frequency. Do you see these patterns continuing? Now, with lower elevation and damage to their sea walls, some Japanese cities flood at high tide everyday. Scientists say that these changes are permanent. Serious flooding is happening in Memphis and moving down the Mississippi River. While it’s moving downstream, it’s creating a back-flow into the tributaries and backing them up. The US is currently fighting a war against historic flooding in eight states. This is the most devastating flooding since 1937 when the Mississippi River crested at over 48 feet, killing 500 people and flooded 20 million acres. Torrential rains have flooded the Mississippi and Ohio river valleys. In two weeks, there was 600% more rain than usual. This worldwide flooding started in December 2010 in the Philippines with 453,000 people displaced, and over a million affected. In January, flooding in Brazil caused $1.2 billion in damages, with thousands homeless. Australia’s Queensland area flooding caused the “most expensive disaster in their history” causing a $30 billion hit to their GDP. What’s causing this devastation and what does it mean? Did you know that part of the Chinese symbol for “flood” means feelings…sentiment…quality of a person’s character…their state of affairs…their kindness and spirit? Is the flooding a reflection of man’s character, his state of his affairs, his attitude and spirit? Could the flooding be a forewarning to more of the same? The next day, the earthquake and tsunami in Japan occurred, devastating that country. The prediction, however, stated that this major event would happen on or around March 18, 2011, plus or minus 3 days. As predicted, on the following Tuesday, March 15th, just three days before March 18th, the Japan nuclear facility at Fukushima started leaking radiation. On March 12, 2011, in the CR News Reports© session on Global Weather and Earth Changes, we predicted… “the unexpected continues to bubble up and cause unexpected change with dramatic ripple effects”… that there would be… “powerful aftershocks”… “radiation is not contained”…and that “people will hear about this disaster for decades to come and it will surpass Chernobyl.” On March 23, 2011, in the CR News Reports© session on The Environment entitled “Japan Nuclear Leaks-the Worst Is Yet To Come,” we predicted… “the Japanese will have great difficulty controlling the radiation leaks and will ask for assistance from any other countries”… “the situation will worsen as employees find more problems with the plants…several will need to be entombed and others shut down permanently.”  Also, Japan… “will have to destroy crops and also some seafood and it will be a long time before people trust the drinking water.” Here we are one month later and most of these predictions have come true already. Others are still in play. All were predicted beforehand. As we’ve seen the Japan nuclear disaster unfold, there have been hundreds of powerful aftershocks, some as big as major earthquakes in their own right. The radiation has not been contained and, in fact, is growing worse with radiation now being measured in the seafood, the vegetables and in the tap water. What is in store for Japan?
