We see people getting along with much less in the future and before they spend weighing value and practicality against quantity and necessity.”

Commentary from the Mediums: People will realize that we lived with way too much stuff and will stop spending unconditionally. We even invented a disease called compulsive shopping. We were conditioned to consume to keep the economy going at any cost. In the future, people will become focused inside rather than the outside. The stuff on the outside will mean nothing. Real Estate Prices Going Back To The 1990′s

REAL ESTATE - Housing construction and purchases took another drop in June. Builders of new homes are at the slowest pace in years. Sales of existing homes decreased for the second month in a row and the index of leading indicators declined for the first time in a year.

Predictions from Higher Intelligence: - “Banks will control the housing market for several years to come. Even if builders could sell a new home for less than the construction costs, they will not be able to compete with banks selling repossessions for pennies on the dollar. We see prices rolling back to what they were a decade ago.”

Commentary from the Mediums: Without housing being able to rebound, the economic recovery will be unable to gain speed. Housing will only start to rebound when banks flush out their inventory of foreclosures, allowing prices to stabilize and builders to once again build new homes.

Predictions from Higher Intelligence: - “What you call “developing” indicates you think it is something in the “future that you are working on.” A better word would be “becoming.” You are always becoming something … you are becoming happier or angrier, more healthy or less healthy, more open or more reserved, or a variety of other opposing outcomes. Becoming is a continuum and not an end result or goal. What is occurring in the “Now” determines which direction to go.”

Commentary from the Mediums: Three things keep people from controlling their “Now.” The successes and failures from your past form the glue that keeps you from growing in the now. You are no longer those successes or failures. Worrying about the future robs your tomorrows of their importance and your today of its energy to create now. REAL ESTATE – The Gulf oil spill has destroyed people’s ability to make a living on the coast. From the fishing industry to all the supporting infrastructure connected, it seems that the Gulf coast has suffered a long-term devastation to its economy. What will happen to real estate in the affected coastal areas?

Predictions from Higher Intelligence: - “Real estate in the affected areas will be devastated along with people’s inability to earn a living. People, unable to find local employment, will be force them to relocate. They will not be able to sell their homes and will have to walk away. At first, they will seek compensation for moving, lost real estate value, and money to buy or rent somewhere else from BP, but BP will not be paying anything for relocation or for destroying real estate values.”

Commentary from the Mediums: BP will win the first round of the fight with people trying to collect compensation for relocation. However, if the banks end up owning most of the houses and Gulf coast towns become ghost towns (just like mining towns did in the West after the Gold Rush) you may see large banks going after BP directly with lawsuits to recoup lost money on Gulf housing. The US government, being controlled by big banks, will demand compensation from Great Britain if BP is bankrupt or gets nationalized.

STOCK MARKET – People were asking on TV last week if BP’s stockholders should be punished for BP’s negligence? Please comment…

It is not a punishment if the stock price goes down any more than it is praised if the stock price goes up. There is no punishment that possesses enough deterrent to prevent people’s greed.”

Commentary from the Mediums: Over the last decade, BP has made over $160 billion in profits. Did stockholders feel “punished?” BP has cut corners, chosen not to implement expensive safety measures, and committed gross negligence at its refineries, endangering the lives of people who live nearby all in the name of profits at any cost. Well, “any cost” has now shown up with the Gulf oil spill. BP should be forced to pay every dollar of profits and more that it has accumulated over the years to clean up their act, the planet, and people’s lives that they have destroyed. One of the options of the free enterprise system is to fail and go out of business. Stockholders just lost their bet.

GLOBAL ECONOMY - The Consumer Sentiment Report was way down last week. The talking heads on TV responded that “The Fed has to do something to get people to spend money if we want to avoid a double-dip recession.” 70% of the US GDP depends on consumer spending. Why aren’t people spending money?

Predictions from Higher Intelligence: - “Consumers continue to cut spending. Some just don’t have the money for any non-essentials and others want to hang on to any extra money they have for the rainy days they see coming. The Fed can’t really do anything to make people spend. The Government is stuck in a bind. They know that lowering taxes may increase consumer spending, but need to raise taxes to pay for bailouts, health care programs, entitlement programs, and unemployment benefits. Jobs are the only thing that will bring back consumer spending.”

Commentary from the Mediums: People will continue to hoard money, just like the banks are doing. More and more people are also bartering goods and services and this trend will continue. In fact, bartering co-ops will be set up in communities large and small.

If you were drowning in a lake, would you try to swim to shore or would you swim to shore? Sending a message of “try” to your subconscious lets it know that it’s not very important. You are dis-empowering yourself and setting yourself up for failure. Never try…act and do your best.”

Commentary from the Mediums: Can’t is another word to eliminate from your everyday vocabulary. “Can’t” means you don’t know how or don’t want to learn. If you really don’t know or don’t want to put forth the effort, you need to let go of the associated stress.
