An Environment of Shock – Too Much Change
When Alvin Toffler wrote his book, “Future Shock” in 1970, the term was defined as “too much change in too short a period of time.” In general, people don’t care for change. They like things to be “normal” and predictable. But now we are living in times where the pace of change is accelerating, and the shock associated with that change is increasing. People who didn’t care much for change in the first place are shocked by the impact change is having on their life.
