Interest rates are very low and getting lower, but banks are not excited about them – in fact, the lower they get the less banks are motivated to issue mortgage loans since they don’t make much money on them. This is on top of everyone’s bad credit, negative equity and lack of down payment money. We predict that real estate will cause the destruction of the middle-class in America. Foreclosures will be rising once again and by Q2 of 2012 banks will have their highest levels of inventory ever. This is despite all the new programs and gimmicks to get people to refi or modify their mortgage.
