Lose Your Job Lose Your Health Insurance
When you lose your job, you lose your health insurance. Finding alternative coverage can be tough. You don’t know how long you’ll be unemployed, what kind of coverage is available to you, or if you can even afford it on your own. The worry and stress of being out of work also affects your overall health. It appears that your fiscal health affects your physical health. About 46 million Americans currently have no health insurance coverage. This figure is set to rise as the economy sours even more and it takes longer for people to find jobs.
Lose Your Job Lose Your Health Insurance Lose Your Money
Some people qualify for continued coverage under COBRA from their previous employer but they find out this can be very expensive with individual rates that run over $500 per month and family coverage that can cost in excess of $1,500. That’s a lot of money for someone without a job and not knowing how long they’ll be unemployed. Unless you’ve planned for those “rainy days” and have some savings put away, this is probably not an option for most.
Lose Your Money Lose Your Options
If you spend all your money on health insurance and remain unemployed, eventually you’ll be forced to make some tough decisions. Like do I eat and feed my family and pay my rent or continue to buy expensive insurance? At this point you may be struggling just to eat and adding more stress to your life. You don’t want to get to that point, so make an intelligent decision about medical insurance long before you get to that point.
Lose Your Health Insurance But Not Your Health
Is it possible to lose your health insurance but improve your health? You would think this would be difficult with the added of stress of losing a job, remaining unemployed and having no insurance. But could your time off work be used in any way to get healthier. If you had some previous ailments, is it time to face them head on and do something about them? Is there a silver lining in all these clouds and how do you find it? Is it possible to turn your situation into wellness in your life?
We would ask our Higher Intelligence source to bring through predictions and commentary on this and anything else they see as relevant to Sports and Wellness at this time. Also, wrap up this session by telling our readers why this information is timely and the best way to apply it to their life right now.

I just lost my job and after I read this blog I realized that I have numerous options to consider before purchasing health insurance .
I found this article interesting as it provided some unique ways of thinking about medical insurance.
I have been thinking about my medical insurance and the other options available to me and my family – thanks!
After researching this on the Internet I have discovered more cost effective and natural ways of managing the health needs of my family…thanks
It is very possible to be healthy without insurance. In fact, maintaining a healthy lifestyle is key to cutting health care costs in the long run and extending your life. It is much more cost effective to buy the necessary daily supplements now rather than live a life void of the vitamins your body needs to slow the degeneration process and wind up debilitated with ailments when you reach an advanced age. And by all means, do not neglect the importance of exercise. One hour of activity per day can prevent excessive fat gain (obesity causes many ailments) and extend your life.
Losing your job and losing your health insurance is very difficult. When you are getting “older and you know you need health insurance but you are out of work and can’t afford it where should you turn? Do you have any suggestions for affordable health care for the unemployed?
I must commend you on your recognition of the fact that most web surfers today demand more expedient delivery of information. And your installing the audio reader (whether it is text to speech or a human narrator) is a wise and valuable service to your readers. It shows that you value your readers’ time and you care about the message you are delivering. I truly enjoyed visiting your site and carefully listened to every word with gusto. I think I will implement this audio feature into my own blog. Thank you for delivering your message in such an effective manner!
I love this web page! I enjoyed being able to listen to the presentation while multi-tasking. You do cater to your visitors and I like that very much. It makes doing research so much more enjoyable. The question about how much can one afford to allocate for insurance is a subject I have been wondering ever since I quit my last job working for a company and started going at it as a freelancer / independent contractor. The freedom is nice, but I don’t have any health coverage and now that I have reached middle age, my health has become of greater concern for me.
With so much debate going on in Capitol Hill about whether to change the country’s health care coverage plan, there is uncertainty on the part of many people. My friend, who is a Canadian resident and is a senior citizen, recently went back to Quebec in order to take advantage of the free health care that Canada offers its citizens. I sure wish health care was that cut and dry in this country, but since it is not, and until it does, the only thing we can do is our due diligence and find a good program that suits our needs and budget. It is so much harder on you when you are self employed, though.
I understand that as soon as you start to mention negative things or how corruption, which clearly exists at the highest levels, is going to shape our future, people immediately want to dismiss you as some conspiracy kook. That certainly was not on my mind as I was reading this article. That is why I was surprised that the authors included a sort of disclaimer in effect disassociating themselves from conspiracy theorists and the like. Maybe it was necessary for them to do that. I appreciate the information they are trying to convey to the masses. It is time in these critical days before a new era begins that people become as enlightened as they can about what the governments intend to enact in the near future. The banks and Wall Street firms have already showed us how corrupt they really are as more news continues to come to light.
All I can say about this is, health insurance for the un-employed and the self employed is way too expensive. You try to better yourself by starting your own business and you get socked by the government for taxes and then you get socked again for health insurance by the doctors and insurance providers. So you lose everything just to have health insurance?
From the amount of dialogue that this subject matter has generated, it is clear that many people are very concerned with their health care coverage (or lack of it) and what the future holds for health care benefits in the United States. We are supposed to be the richest, most powerful country on Earth, yet Canada has developed a much better solution to providing their citizens with health care coverage. My friend, who is a Canadian citizen, and advancing in age, moved back to his native land, because of the free health care coverage that Montreal citizens receive. I’m not sure if this applies for all of Canada, though.
I agree with what April said about wishing the health insurance here was as cut and dry as it is in Canada, I also wish we had free health care here in the US. But what they don’t tell you is because it is free they can dictate what you are treated for, what procedures you can have done, and what medication you can take. So in that case I am not to sure it would be the best thing for us. I have a friend in Canada just like April and Michael and she has a back problem that limits her mobility, she went to the doctor over there and they told her they could do nothing about it so they had to move to another house that had no stairs etc. to accommodate her limitations now, but in the US they do the procedure that would have helped her back all the time, can you tell me why they told her they could help her over there then? I appreciate the information you gave us here in your blog it is very insightful.
Health insurance is so over priced and unaffordable to the average family. I will be so glad when the Government reform act goes into effect, maybe then everybody can get coverage affordably and not be turned down by any insurance group because of a pre-existing conditions or because of your weight. I am so tired of insurance companies trying to tell me what is best for and my family. Thanks for posting this information I think it is important for people to know and understand what is happening to those of us that are un-employeed.
I enjoyed reading it. I found it very useful everything that you have written in here. It made me more cautious about my health.
I think in the long run we are all going to have to be more health cautious and try as many natural remedies as possible because health insurance is going to become so over priced even for people who are receiving it through heir jobs that no one will have coverage. There are doctors out there that will treat you with out you having health insurance right? Although having no health insurance also means having no prescription coverage and some of those pills can be very expensive. Do you know of a company that you can get your prescriptions from at a discounted price, or health care that is discounted as well? This problem is going to cause many families to go bankrupt eventually, and in the richest country in the world that is a crying shame.
Did I just encounter some sort of physic network? There seems to be a number of links to information about the future of the job and stock markets. This web page has an eerie sort of feel to it. Maybe it is the apocalyptic subject matter that makes it seem that way to me. I have not read everything, but some of the content seems to suggest that the state of things in this country may take a turn for the worse. I am not one to see the world through rose colored glasses. I am not afraid of the truth and I know that according to ancient prophecy, this will have to get worse before they get better. That is what the apocalypse will bring once it starts. So I appreciate it if in fact the publishers are sharing the inconvenient truths about the future.
I lost my job about a month ago and I did qualify for the cobra plan but as you stated in your blog it was three times more than what I was paying when I was employed. Needless to say I couldn’t afford it so I let it go and have been without insurance ever sense. I haven’t been able to find an affordable insurance yet so I am trying your tips on staying healthy without health insurance. So far it is working I can only hope that I find a job soon that will provide health insurance again. Thank you for posting this information it was very interesting and you put it together very well.
Unfortunately, there was a comment posted on this page which most readers may not have thought twice about, but which is absolutely true without exception. Most health care plans cost much more when you try to subscribe to one on your own as opposed to having an employer that incurs half or most of the cost. So again, it comes down to having a job, unless of course you are your own boss and your business is booming. Only then can you afford a good plan without feeling the pinch. On another note: The publishers of this website mention something about Nostradamus that is so true. If he were alive, he’d be focused on the recent future as he was when he was alive and wrote many popular almanacs which benefited the readers of his day. Thank you for sharing such a unique perspective.
I can see some of Ray and Linda’s foresights occurring close to home. My parents, who both have HMO plans, have been telling me about how every HMO has been cutting costs / corners and reducing benefits. Each time one program reduces the amount of monthly supplements credit or takes away the gourmet meal home delivery, the switch to another program. According to them, all insurance companies have been engaging in this trend and all are getting really cheap in terms of the extra benefits they offer. They don’t even give away small items like pill containers anymore.
This is very sad. Thank you for sharing this with our community. Together we can make a difference if we realize that we are all in this together. Thanks, Linda Deir
These readings about the state of the economy, health insurance and the job market, which are being offered here for some reason remind me about a show I watched on TV recently. It was about a computer program not unlike the one referenced in the new TV series, “person of interest, that scans the web and formulates trends and data analysis based on the content that is being published in cyberspace. In fact, I think the TV show I mentioned drew inspiration from the bot. That is what this real life program is called. I wonder if these readings are purely spiritualistic or based on computer data and cyberspace.

This is some really interesting information and it truly is a shame what happens when you lose a job or something and you know longer get that group discount through the employer. Those Cobra plans are way too expensive for the average person to be able to make on unemployment. I think that as soon as you sign up for unemployment and you are approved that they should cover you and your family health insurance until you find another job. Maybe that will come with the “hope and change” thing that everybody keeps preaching.
The whole psychic phenomena is intriguing to most anyone, but as an avid history buff, I find it fascinating how psychics have played an important role throughout history, particularly, military history. I could start by talking about how Adolf Hitler was influenced by a psychic he looked to for guidance and how many of the Third Reich’s secret projects were based in mysticism, but the role of psychics or mediums goes further back in history – all the way back to the days of King Solomon and beyond. So their influence and guidance is ancient knowledge and very real. It is ashamed really, how ancient wisdom has either been lost, forgotten or reduced to fairy tales and folklore. That is the Foley of modern Western society and their arrogance by the way they take credit for much of what they believe are new discoveries in technology.
I feel a very good vibe from the publishers of this web site and the messages they convey to the people. It is a great public service. It takes an open mind, an nonconforming attitude and a resistance to the conditioning of secular society, in order for one to understand real wisdom and see the presage of the events that are coming in the near future. I think knowing the truth, no matter how disturbing it may seem, is far better than living like drones or unsuspecting sheep who consciously or subconsciously prefer not to acknowledge the obvious signs about the future of our world.
When you are unemployed why doesn’t the state cover you with health care. If you lose a job and have to go on unemployment and you get approved through the state for that they should automatically put you under some kind of health care as well, they know that 99% of the people that are unemployed can’t afford health insurance so make that part of the unemployment package. It absolutely makes no sense to me that if you are working you can get health insurance at a discount, if your are on welfare because you can’t get a job and you aren’t even trying you can get discounted health insurance through the state but they don’t even offer it to you if you are unemployed and on unemployment benefits. I hope that this comment gets posted on your article because I think it is something that really needs to be thought about. Your blog was great and it opened a lot of eyes I’m sure, keep up the good work.
I agree completely with Herman’s comment about the state covering you with health insurance if you are on unemployment. It truly isn’t fair to do it the way that they do, between unemployment and welfare. The state knows that you can’t afford insurance on your own if you are unemployed yet they do nothing about it. He is right it should at least be offered. Is there a way to get this idea noticed by the government or just the state guru’s so that maybe they could make this change? Would a petition do any good?
I agree one hundred percent with Herman about the state covering you with health insurance when you are on unemployment. Unemployment is something that as long as you have been employed you have been paying into for just such a time when you lost your job so why doesn’t the state pick up the health care costs to cover you until you find another job. That is a very good question and I hope that someone can figure out how to pose that question to the authorities and see if we can get that changed.
It is interesting that the psychic readers described in the About Us bio how Nostradamus was known in his day, not so much as a prophet of the distant future, but instead, someone who could help with common everyday advice and readings of the near future. I watched a documentary on Nostradamus and it talked about how he was known for publishing articles, or almanacs as they were called, which offered among other things, makeup recipes for women or herbal solutions for whitening your teeth. Keep in mind those were the days before the invention of toothpaste or the discovery of fluoride to help fight tooth decay. So you can imagine the value of this type of information. It wasn’t until later in his career, after he published a vision and it came to pass that he became known as a seer of the future. And when you think about it, there are strikingly similarities with the readers of this web site. They too, offer information in the form of articles as well as readings.
Discussing the loss of insurance after the loss of a job really makes me angry. I do not understand the way this all works. Where does Cobra come up with the prices they want you to pay for extended coverage? Their prices are so outrageous that there is no way anyone could continue to use them. I also do not understand the whole thing with unemployment and welfare just like the other reader commented on. If the state can offer it to welfare it should be automatic for the unemployed because at least they are trying to get another job.
This is some really interesting information and it truly is a shame what happens when you lose a job or something and you know longer get that group discount through the employer. Those Cobra plans are way to expensive for the average person to be able to make on unemployment. I agree with Beverly as far as I think that as soon as you sign up for unemployment and you are approved that they should cover you and your family health insurance wise until you find another job. And it makes me very angry as well. Maybe that will come with the hope and change thing that everybody keeps preaching.
I would sure love to hear a sample of one of your readings. Can anyone sign up for your news letter in order to hear a sample or do you have to be a paid member? Or might there be a link on the site where I can hear an actual reading?
As a matter of fact you can. Go here: https://www.uqast.com/news/Channeled-Readings-LLC-Live-Event-or-Party
I think those who dismiss seers or readings to be a con job or mumbo-jumbo are the ones who should be doubted because that is a perfect example of a narrow, unenlightened mind. I am well read about human history. So I know that world leaders have always maintained a relationship with a seer or psychic. Whether they have been shamans, genies or Jinn in the pre-Islamic era, or modern day psychics, the truth is they have always been important throughout history in foreseeing the future events, which is why the kings of the Earth (a term encompasses all leaders of nations) have always used them. I watched the video of the sample reading and wondered if the readers were running their fingers atop a Ouija board or some surface that has a similar function.
Finding an alternative insurance when you lose your job is almost impossible to do simply because of the cost. You definitely can not go with the Cobra plan offered when they find out you are unemployed because it is probably twice if not three times more than what you were paying when you had a job. Insurance now days it just outrageous and I for one am ready for the health care reform act to kick in so my family can get some health insurance again. Thank you for pointing out in your post what over half of the American population has found out over the last two years the hard way.
Health insurance coverage is something I have avoided paying most of my adult life, except when I worked as an employee. But for the better part of my working life, I have worked as a freelance sub contractor or a small business owner. Other than when I was employed full time, and because I was blessed with very good health, I have never concerned myself with having insurance coverage unless it was included in the job’s benefits. Now that I am in my mid life, I find myself increasingly worried about my lack of health insurance coverage. And each time I feel some sort of inexplicable pain or get the occasional bloody stool, I begin to worry. Even when I play basketball, I start to think about the ramifications of tearing a knee ligament or incurring some other injury that would require expensive medical treatment. I fear going into debt because of emergency hospital bills because it happened to one of my friends during her pregnancy. As if that weren’t enough, I’m now worrying about getting cancer because I can’t afford to get checked. What if I already have cancer and it becomes malignant by the time I get checked? What is a person to do in these uncertain times?
I am unclear about how health insurance coverage ties into the reading services offered on this web site. I understand that readings can be instrumental in anticipating events which can affect your health or finances. I get that part, but for whatever reason, I got the impression that you recommend a certain health coverage plan. Maybe I got that idea because you make certain recommendations about all kinds of things or provide advice and over all guidance that your clients can use to improve their investments or their business, and avoid potential fiscal disasters. I navigated around the web site and even went to the services link thinking there would be other links to health care plans, but your services are comprised entirely of reading services. Maybe that is the way it should be.
Talking about the loss of insurance after the loss of a job really gets my blood boiling because that is exactly what happened to me and my family. I lost my job and could not afford the Cobra plan that they sent me or any other plans that I researched on line for that matter, so we have been without insurance for about four to five months now. I don’t understand why the government doesn’t step in when these cases happen and help out they help those that are on welfare, like your other readers have discussed. It just really bothers me the way the system is ran.

I understand that some people qualify for the continued coverage under the cobra plan, but I would like to know who exactly can afford it after you have lost your job? What sense does it make that after you lose your job they charge you more for insurance then when you had a job? I believe the state should pay for the insurance of the un-employed.
I agree that with your time off you could do things to improve your health that is true. You could start exercising and eating better, what else do you have to do. However have you noticed that healthier food is m ore expensive? So here we go with the lack of income again. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we need to see if there is anything we can do to change this system.
This subject just really sets my nerves on fire. I can not believe what we do to people when they lose their jobs, I mean really how do we expect them to pay for health insurance after they lose their job? Hello! They are not making any money. What are the alternatives for the unemployed anyway, besides the Cobra plan that is three times more expensive?
After reading your article my husband and I are considering more natural remedies other than medicines. We neither one have insurance right now through our employment and if we can change the way we live and start living more healthy maybe we won’t need it after all.
I have not been to the dentist since I was a teenager, but it is about that time that I make an appointment for a series of porcelain fillings for several of my teeth which have been wearing down over the years. Thankfully, I have taken pretty good care of my teeth. So I do not have any cavities. But I am in the market for dental insurance. Does anyone have any recommendation for a good dental plan?
