Predictions from Higher Intelligence: - “The inefficiencies in the medical records and billing system alone cost many lives and much money. One of the biggest problems implementing health care technology is the lack of a national compatible system for records. The U.S. will continue falling further behind in health care because of groups concerned with medical history privacy. The privacy issue will be a smoke screen used by people who want to preserve their profitable piece of the pie. The profit they make by keeping the entire system cumbersome and inefficient. We predict that eventually the necessary software to run across all types of systems could be contained on a smart card itself and be able to be accessed through a standard USB connection. Still other groups will fight this because of security reasons.” continue
