Doesn’t anyone exhibit loyalty, integrity, trustworthiness, or have high standards anymore? We try though. We set weak standards for ourselves and, when we fail to meet them, we look for more corners to cut or new ways to cheat. Falling short and disappointing people and ourselves seems to be the new normal.
That’s what has led us to the current environment we find ourselves in. One where we our foreign policy is to go off and start useless wars, our financial policies waste trillions of dollars, our health policy is to force everyone to buy insurance, and our moral policy is to screw the maid (the rich and powerful taking advantage of the vunerable) and everyone else we can.
We’ve lost our jobs, our homes, our families, our wealth and our health. But most of all, we’ve lost our honesty and integrity. When you tell yourself the truth, that’s being honest. When you tell others the truth, that’s integrity. This lack of honesty and integrity has gotten us so far off-course that even a mid-course correction cannot get the ship going the right direction.
Once, we all had a destination in mind. That we could grow up in a world where people were honest and had integrity and that a good education and hard work paid off. That as a child, we could open a savings account at our local bank with the pennies we saved from cutting lawns or our paper route and believed that the bankers had the integrity to protect our money so it would be there when we needed to buy a new bicycle or lawn mower. We believed in a dream where people worked together for causes that would someday cure diseases, poverty, and hunger. Instead our policies, based in greed, cause disease or at best, allow you to live with your disease until you die, and have doubled food prices for people already on the edge of poverty.
We have created a societal environment that uses fear, intimidation, disinformation, abuse of authority, dishonesty, manipulation, aggression and a lack of integrity as its definition of “business as usual.” With this in mind, we should remind ourselves that when our ship misses a port, seldom is it the fault of the port.
We would ask our Higher Intelligence source to bring through their predictions and commentary on this and anything else they see as relevant to The Environment at this time.
