Should I or shouldn’t I? What if I decide and it doesn’t work out? What if I decide and it does work out? What will happen if I don’t decide? What will happen if I let someone decide for me? My friends are pressuring me to decide one way while my gut is telling me the opposite. How will my decision affect others?…my family?…my friends…the people I work with? The bigger the decision, the more people get hung up on the details surrounding the decision-making process. They obsess on the little things instead of seeing where the decision will take them. Some decisions take longer than others. Big decisions may take weeks or months. Smaller decisions can be made quickly but may take a little while to feel comfortable with the process. Some decisions you make over and over become automatic. An example of this would be when you drive. Things you used to think about before you did them now are second nature. That is the 3rd year in a row that crime rates fell. Crime hasn’t gone up since 2006. All types of crime were down in major cities… violent crime, property crimes, robberies, arson, and assaults. Motor vehicle thefts are down 17%. Even in NYC, all types of crime were down except aggravated assaults, which went up about 8%. While crimes are down in big cities, violent crimes are up in rural areas and cities with 25,000 – 50,000 people. Is this a result of the economy? How do you explain this? People seem amazed by the report because everyone always thought that crime was directly linked to the health of the economy.
