You haven’t had a winning hand all night. The same people at the table keep winning all the pots. What’s wrong? Why do they always get the good cards and you get the weak hands? You can’t seem to even bluff your way to a win. You leave after several hours, frustrated and down hundreds of dollars, thinking to yourself, “It’s not fair. I’m a smart and skillful player. Those other people aren’t any better than I am. I played as well as they did and I deserve to win a hand once in awhile. I just didn’t get good cards again. But more often than not, the next time you play, the same thing happens. Oh, you got lucky and won that one big pot, but lost it all back trying to double up on your winnings; trying to make up for all the “bad luck” nights you’ve had recently. You start thinking, “What’s wrong with me?” and one of two things then happen. You either continue playing attempting to win in order to fill up your bank account and ego. Or, you quit – you give up bitterly and never play again, labeling the game “fixed” and “not fair.” Poker imitates life. People look at the hands dealt to others and compare it to theirs. They observe that others must have had some kind of advantage that they were not given. From this perspective, they make a judgment about life as being “fair” or “unfair.” Then they start feeling sorry for themselves. While at times this person can perform very efficiently, seeming to have everything under control, at other times they can be annoying, withdrawn, and seem technically holier-than-thou. Who are they? They’re that techno-gadget geek who camps out overnight to be one of the first people to buy the latest, overpriced, piece of technology so they can “communicate” better. We live in times when, instead of calling your best friends and telling them what you’ve been doing or how your vacation was, you update your Facebook page. You think that email is for geezers. You Tweet and text so much, you’re thumbs are numb. Just like they were when you were addicted to video games. Face it, you are a techno-addict. An addict who carries their “fix” around in their pocket or purse and gets easily distracted from life with tens of thousands of “apps” to pick from? Do you feel “connected” to the world because you Tweet out everything you are doing all day long?…brushing the cat, getting your car washed, at the grocery store in the soup aisle, or having toast for breakfast? You never felt compelled to tell anyone about these things before portable technology existed, did you? Nor, would you consider this to be a “relationship.” Using technology, have you developed eye strain or carpal tunnel syndrome? How about withdrawal from social interactions? Do you get a sense of euphoria from using technology? If so, you have a technology addiction. The Joker In The Real Estate House Of Cards

We provide Survival News Predictions to help you overcome any fear of the future you may have and empower you to prepare for what’s coming… U.S. home builder sentiment unexpectedly fell for a third straight month in August to its lowest level in nearly 1-1/2 years. This is yet another indicator that the “recovery” and housing are losing steam. The National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index slipped to 13. It was expected to go up to 15. A reading above 50 indicates that more builders view sales conditions as good than poor. The index has not been above the 50 level since April, 2006. The NAHB survey also showed that expectations for sales over the next 6 months are at their lowest level in 17 months. With buyer incentive tax credits having expired, unemployment rising, and foreclosures accelerating, home sales are suffering. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the large government sponsored mortgage companies, continue to eat up billions of taxpayer dollars. These two entities buy or guarantee more than 90% of loans currently being issued. They have absorbed almost $150 billion in government aid. That is more money than the troubled financial institutions or auto makers received and they still need more. Nobody wants to see these entities continue as they have been, but neither do they want to see the mortgage market seize up at a critical time. So, pressure is building on the Obama administration to find a solution to the problem and revamp these two organizations. Not much help is coming from the government to help defaulting homeowners. Programs to assist unemployed homeowner’s won’t be much help either. With 1,300,000 million people having applied for the government’s Making Home Affordable program, less than 1/3 has received a response or help. And the government still has no plan in place for how borrowers will pay back the program’s zero-interest, 24-month “bridge” loan. Two years ago, the Obama Administration pledged $75 billion for the housing bailout…$79 million (.1%) has been made available for “counseling” programs to help people keep making their payments, which is the goal of the lenders…keep you making payments on a declining asset. How long can the government keep propping up the housing “house of cards?” … Go ahead with your predictions and commentary…

Gold hit a 6-week high on Thursday and has gone up in price 4 out of the last 8 weeks. Although it went up on Friday, silver went down about 2% for the week. Copper also came off a 3-week run and ended down 1.7% for the week. It is being reported that holdings in the metals ETF’s is increasing, especially the ones holding gold. Is the nervousness about a possible double-dip recession keeping investors out of the stock market? Will they become customers for metals? Will the US dollar continue to be strong against other currencies? How will public sentiment affect the commodities markets?
