We Are Nine Missed Meals Away From Anarchy

POLITICS – First we had health care reform that will benefit the insurance industry (where’s the jobs?), and Wall Street got bailed out (where’s the jobs?), then big corporations got bailed out (where’s the jobs?), then came all the “cash for ______” programs (where’s the jobs?), now we have financial reform and immigration reform coming. Where are the jobs that people without Ivy League finance degrees can apply for?

Predictions from Higher Intelligence: “Recovery cannot happen until people are employed again. Even then people will accept jobs at pay scales much lower than their old jobs. This will in turn, impact spending, allowing only for necessities and little or no “discretionary” spending, further stalling economic growth. There will be no “double dip” recession at this time however, as the first dip is still occurring.”

Commentary from the Mediums: People were told that during the “first dip” of the recession, unemployment was under 5%. Now, during “recovery” unemployment is near 10%, with the “real” number somewhere 15%+. Unless something is done to produce jobs soon, the number of unemployed Americans will reach 20%. Banks will own more homes, desperation will increase, and the country will be 9 missed meals away from anarchy.
